Ankle Injury healing
With finals season for all winter sports upon us we are starting to see more players trying to get niggling injuries sorted before the biggest game of the year. Ankle injuries are a large proportion of this and have made up more than half of the reported netball injuries at the state netball centre this year.
Because it is so common, ankle injuries can be brushed off as just being a minor problem and are rarely rehabilitated to the extent that they require. Unfortunately, ankle injuries can be quite serious and have a recurrence rate of up to 73%. If you have, or have had an ankle injury in the past, make sure you see a physio and perform your rehabilitation until it is at pre-injury levels of strength, balance and function to minimise the chance of ongoing issues.
If you have an ankle injury or any other injury that you want to get back to 100% book in to see one of our friendly and experienced physiotherapists.
