What sort of exercise is appropriate for Lower Back Pain?

Recent evidence has shown exercise to be superior to stretching, hands-on treatment, pharmacological and surgical treatments for low back pain.

But what exercise is best? The short answer is that pretty much any exercise is better than none.

Individualised exercise, prescribed by a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist will help guide you through the most appropriate pathway for your pain. But the most important thing is to keep moving, even after your pain is long gone.

Exercise and movement does NOT wear down your joints but instead will keep them strong and resilient. It is the best way to stay physically and mentally healthy.
